Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Orion Studio ("the Application", "we", "us") handles information when you use our desktop application to create and publish video content to your own social media accounts. Orion Studio is designed as a local-first application: your data stays on your computer.

1. Information we collect

Orion Studio collects and stores the following information, exclusively on your own device:

Account authorization tokens. When you connect a social media account (such as TikTok or YouTube), the platform issues OAuth access and refresh tokens. These tokens are stored in configuration files on your computer and are used solely to publish content that you choose to publish to your own account.
Content you create. Scripts, audio narrations, subtitle files, images, music and rendered videos that you produce with the Application are stored in folders on your computer that you select.
Basic publishing metadata. Titles, descriptions, hashtags and publication status of your own videos, stored locally alongside each video project.

Orion Studio does not collect analytics about you, does not track your usage, does not use cookies, and does not operate any server that receives or stores your personal data.

2. How we use information

To authenticate with the social media platforms you explicitly connect, through their official APIs.
To upload and publish videos that you created, to your own accounts, when you initiate or schedule a publication.
To display the status of your own content (for example, which videos are pending or already published).

We never use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the features you invoke.

3. Information sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise share your personal information with third parties. The only data transmission that occurs is between your computer and the official APIs of the platforms you connect (for example, TikTok's Content Posting API or YouTube's Data API) when you publish content. Those transmissions are governed by the respective platform's privacy policy:

4. Data about other users

Orion Studio only interacts with your own accounts and your own content. It does not access, collect or process data about any other user of any platform.

5. Data storage, security and retention

All data handled by Orion Studio resides on your own device, under your operating system user account. Authorization tokens are stored in local configuration files and are never transmitted anywhere except to the issuing platform's own API. Data is retained until you delete it: you may remove any project folder, disconnect any account, or uninstall the Application at any time, which removes our access entirely.

6. Revoking access

You can revoke Orion Studio's access to a connected account at any time:

TikTok: Settings → Security → Manage app permissions, or by deleting the local token file.
YouTube/Google: myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party access, or by deleting the local token file.

7. Children's privacy

Orion Studio is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
